BOUNDARY ROASTING CO.
About Us
Boundary Roasting Co. is a small-batch specialty coffee roastery rooted in rural Ontario, where coffee is part of everyday life — brewed early, shared often, and enjoyed in the in-between moments.
We’re Arend and Paige, a husband-and-wife team raising a family on a working farm and roasting coffee just down the lane. Farming has shaped how we see the world: seasons matter, relationships matter, and good work takes time. That same mindset guides how we source, roast, and share our coffee.
We work with traceable, single-origin specialty coffees from farms and co-operatives, choosing beans grown with care and intention. As farmers ourselves, we believe the people behind the beans deserve to be known, respected, and fairly compensated. Every coffee we roast is selected for its story as much as its flavour, then carefully roasted to let its natural character shine.
Coffee, for us, has always been about more than what’s in the cup. It’s about the conversations that happen while it’s brewing, the pause it creates in a busy day, and the way it brings people together around kitchen tables, at markets, and between chores. Those are the moments we try to capture in everything we do.
That belief is also what led us to create Grounds for Conversation, a coffee that supports Agriculture Wellness Ontario. A portion of every bag sold goes directly towards their mental health initiatives for farmers, farm families, and agricultural workers across the province. It’s a small but meaningful way to give back to a community we’re deeply connected to.
Our branding, from the quilt-inspired patterns to the stories we tell, reflects where we come from and what we value: warmth, simplicity, and connection. You’ll see us at local markets, behind the roaster, or serving coffee from our mobile espresso bar, always grateful for the people who stop, chat, and make this work worth doing.
We roast coffee for real life — the quiet mornings, the long days, and the shared moments in between.
