Women in Coffee

This Pink Bourbon comes from Wilfredo and Carolina Ruiz’s 5-hectare farm, El Meson, in San Agustín, Huila, Colombia, where they grow coffee at 2,010 metres above sea level.

Wilfredo and Carolina have spent most of their lives working in coffee, often on other farms. In 2022, they sold their first coffee under their own names. Since then, they’ve invested in their own drying beds and built the knowledge and infrastructure to process their coffee on their family farm.

This washed Pink Bourbon is bright, super fruity and floral, with a cup that reminds us of raspberry pie, red fruits, and milk chocolate. It’s a coffee we’re proud to share as part of our Women in Coffee lineup and a great example of what can happen when small producers have the opportunity to bring their own coffees to the specialty market.
